What you get on the water
- Wave height and wave period, with swell separated from local wind sea.
- Sea temperature and sea level from official gauges — SMHI ViVa and Kystverket.
- Mean wind and gusts, because gusts decide whether a passage is comfortable.
- A depth layer from open bathymetry so you can see the seabed shape.
Sea level is measured, not estimated
Sea level responds to wind direction and air pressure far faster than any model grid updates. KULING reads gauge measurements directly and compares them against the forecast, so you can see whether the level is already rising.
Not an approved nautical chart
The depth layer is drawn from open bathymetric data for orientation only. It is not an approved nautical chart and must never be used for navigation.
