KULING

KULING IN ENGLISH

Weather that measures its own error

KULING blends nearby measuring stations with several forecast models, corrects itself against measured outcome and publishes its own error openly. Coverage across the Nordics and Europe.

What makes it different

Most apps hand you one model grid box. KULING pulls measurements from stations near your position, blends several forecast models, and reweights them from how well each model has actually performed at that exact spot over the past 90 days.

  • Measured values from the nearest stations, not only a model estimate.
  • Rain radar with nowcasting and live lightning detection.
  • Marine, road, mountain and sea level data where official sources exist.
  • When the models disagree, the forecast is labelled uncertain instead of pretending.

Open about accuracy

Every forecast is logged and compared with what was actually measured. The resulting mean error is published on the accuracy page.
